Wild Black Spruce Oil may very well be the best tree smell in the world. Unlike pines, which can be perceived as pitchy and turpentine-like, Black Spruce is smooth and rings in the middle of your nose. When you smell it, you really feel like you're in a Canadian forest.

Wild Black Spruce is good for any blend to help alleviate symptoms of the common cold or muscle tension, and to help improve breathing and relaxation We love to mix it with Frankincense and other oils to unwind from city life. Use it in a diffuser and breathe in the aroma or simply open the bottle and waft it under your nose. Place a few drops in a steamy bath for the ultimate relaxing experience. Use a drop or two in a blend with your moisturizer to help scent your skin.

Spruce is diffused for respiratory tract pain and swelling (inflammation), colds, cough, bronchitis, fever, and sore mouth and throat. It is also used for muscle and nerve pain, tendency toward infection, and tuberculosis.

Some people apply diluted Spruce directly to the skin for muscle, nerve, and joint pain. It is also added to bathwater as a treatment for mental illness.

How does it work?
Spruce may reduce mucus production in the airways and act as a mild germ-killer. When applied to the skin, the essential oil increases blood flow to the area, causes redness, and creates a sensation of warmth, which can help relieve pain in the tissue underneath.
