About Us
I'm Kim, my venture into aromatherapy started as a stressed-beyond-belief social worker in Oakland, CA. Looking for an alternative to readily-available coping methods like Valium or whiskey, I decided to try aromatherapy on the suggestion of a nurse/friend. Several college classes later, including a bitter struggle with organic chemistry, I started making what I thought at the time were the greatest blends of all-time!

The more monumental struggle was for me to explain my products to my friends, coworkers, and family. I would regale (aka bore-to-death) them with the virtues of sesquiterpenes, monoterpenes, and aldehydes contained in the essential oils. To my surprise, they just weren't fans of polysyllabic words like me. After awhile I started giving funny/stupid nicknames to my blends so that I could more easily explain their uses and benefits. To my surprise, suddenly people were more, much more interested and Frankie & Myrrh was born.

We started off doing craft fairs in 2012 all over the Bay Area and never looked back! My partner, Nick, and I went hard to work developing new oil blends, all kinds of products, and coming up with fun names. Eventually, we moved to having a store in San Francisco and selling online!

Over the years we've been honored/shocked to be featured on places like Buzzfeed, Scary Mommy and Netflix among others. It's wild that our smell business has reached so many, but our goal remains the same, to promote the benefits of good smells and good laughs!
